Rhythm Recognition March 26th, 2018 at NMC(9:00am-5:00pm)

Participants will receive detailed instruction on basic cardiac anatomy and electrophysiology, normal sinus rhythm, and baseline EKG parameters. Students will also learn how to use American Heart Association (AHA) algorithms for the adult victim of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This section addresses arrhythmias including sinus bradycardia and tachycardia, supraventricular arrhythmias, ventricular arrhythmias, asystole and pulseless electrical activity (PEA), atrioventricular block, and atrial and ventricular pacing. Review of essential knowledge in common ACLS drugs and their pharmacology, interpretation of EKG rhythms, and use of ACLS algorithms.
